Introduction

The Professional Response Plan connects you to a 24/7 Australian monitoring centre. When you press your alarm button, trained operators answer your call and coordinate the response based on your situation.

This article explains how the Professional Response Plan works and who it's best suited for.

How does the Professional Response Plan work?

When you activate your alarm, it sends an alert to our monitoring centre. An operator calls back within moments and your alarm answers automatically, connecting you by voice.

The operator assesses the situation and responds based on what they hear:

  • If you're okay or testing, the operator speaks with you and closes the alert
  • If you need help but not an ambulance, the operator stays on the line and begins calling your emergency contacts
  • If you can't be heard, the operator treats this as an emergency and contacts ambulance services immediately
  • If you need urgent help, the operator calls the ambulance, stays on the line with you, and then contacts your emergency contacts

The operator remains on the line for as long as you need them.

How quickly are alerts answered?

Our target is to answer 95% of alerts within 2 minutes, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In practice, most alerts are answered much faster than this.

Can I get a report of my alerts?

Yes. We store reports of all alerts and can provide them to you or your family members on request.

Who is the Professional Response Plan best suited for?

The Professional Response Plan is a good choice if you:

  • Live alone and don't have family or friends who can reliably answer calls
  • Are at higher risk and need guaranteed 24/7 response
  • Want the reassurance that a trained operator will always answer
  • Need full two-way calling over home internet, including callbacks from family

Can I use the Professional Response Plan with both alarms?

Yes. The Professional Response Plan is available on both the Home Alarm and the Mobile Alarm, and works the same way on both devices.

Can I switch between plans?

Yes. You can switch between the Professional Response Plan and the Family Response Plan at any time with no penalties. Give us a call to make the change.
